Arlise Carson
educator, consultant, author, orator

Arlise  Carson   is   a  native of Portsmouth,   Virginia   and   currently  lives  in  New York  with   her   husband Tiate  and their  two blessed  daughters,  Bria  and Imani. She and her  husband are both  ordained  ministers and serve  in ministry together. Due to  the grace  of God  and the shared wisdom of her  mother, she became  the first   person   in   her   family   to   graduate    with  a   baccalaureate degree.  With determination,     she     continued  to  further  her education  by earning    several masters degrees  and most recently became a doctoral candidate as she seeks to complete her Ed.D with a focus in Curriculum & Instruction.

Arlise   graduated    from     Manor    High   School  with  an  advanced diploma and Norfolk   State University with a B.A. in Political Science Pre-Law.   She received her Master  of    Professional   Studies  with  an  urban  focus  from Nyack  College ATS. She    also    received   her    Master   of   Science   in  Education/Special Education Childhood   from Touro College  Graduate  School   of  Education and   Psychology. She  also  holds a New  York State Building and District Leader's certification and is an approved vendor for the New York City Department of Education.

Her  career  began  more  than  twenty years  ago  and   within   this    time,   Arlise has   experienced    multiple    promotions    and   great    success.  She began  her career  as  a substitute teacher, then  an enrichment  teacher, next  as  a  classroom teacher,   and   went   on  to    become   an  instructional    specialist.   From   there, she   became  a    Title  I   Attendance   Dropout   Prevention    Specialist,    then   a middle    school    assistant    principal,   followed    by   becoming  an  elementary assistant   principal.  She then became   a  Dean of Students, elementary principal, launched a 5th -6th grade academy, and then a Central Administrative Director of Curriculum & Instruction. She currently serves as an Assistant Superintendent in the Nassau County Public School System.

This  educator's  passion  is  to provide  the highest  level of  academic   instruction possible to every   student  she   encounters.  She   is  confident   that   she’s   kept this   commitment   to    providing  educational  excellence  to   all children  so  that they   may    grab     hold   of    and   experience   true  academic  success.  She   is ecstatic   about   the  future  of   the  current generation as well as that of  her  own. She    believes    a    great education is not cultivated by chance, but it is harvested in the hands of committed and skilled educators.

This aforementioned commitment   to   ensuring   student    success    is    currently exhibited    in    her   present  school’s increase in their students’  social   emotional development,   academic   growth, assessment scores and behavioral  compliance. This   same   educational   commitment has encouraged  students to stay in school, parents to not   give  up   on  their   kids,  and  teachers  to strive  for   pedagogical excellence.   She is  committed to ensuring our children are provided with the tools to  become   emotionally, socially and academically successful!   She  truly believes that   excellence   is   not   acquired   by   chance; it’s acquired by choice and she is determined to make  the right choice by reaching and teaching this nation’s youth.
